Glossary
Have no idea what I’m talking about? Want to decipher Donna-speak? Look no further.
Most technical terms such as CSS and XHTML will not be listed here as 1) they are already marked with <abbr> and <acronym> tags throughout the site and 2) they are fairly widespread terms.
- Ambs (other aliases include: Klaus)
Ambs is one of my friends. The two of us and our friend Pattie (see below) make up a group that has been called “the peas.” We find this to be sort of amazing. Ambs is sometimes also known as Klaus. She is also known as missambs on LiveJournal and can also be found at undisclosed-location.org and missambs.org.
- Pattie (other alias include: the Pamcake, Hans, my brontosaurus rex)
Pattie is my brontosaurus and partner in crime. The pair of us as well as Ambs (see above) make up a group that has been called “the peas” on multiple occasions. We love it. :D I frequently call Pattie ‘Hans’.
- Decepticons
Instead of just being the villains in Transformers, decepticons are agents of evil dedicated to increasing WorldSuck. They are the opposite of a nerdfighter (see below).
One does not have to be a large or famous entity to be a decepticon. Joseph Stalin may be a decepticon, but that does not protect the individual from being a decepticon as well, though perhaps on a different level.
Examples of decepticons: Westboro Baptist Church, Pol Pot, the Bush Administration, and apparently 52.2% of California voters.
- DFTBA
Don’t Forget to Be Awesome. Motto to live by.
- Nerdfighters
Nerdfighters are a lot like normal people, except instead of being made out of organs, tissues, and cells, they’re made out of awesome. We work to combat WorldSuck and decepticons.
To join our forces, check out Nerdfighters at The Ning and the videos where they started at Brotherhood 2.0.
Examples of nerdfighters: John Green, Maureen Johnson, and 120,000 YouTube subscribers.
