I think there are just: procrastinators and semi-procrastinators. I've definitely found that I <em>cannot</em> work at all if my desk isn't clean and my floor is semi-clear. I have a really small room and no more bookcase space--so my million library books have to reside on the floor along with the laundry basket I live out of. I like big, open spaces, but have to try to work with what I have. Sometimes even just moving books and my laundry basket off my floor to my bed helps me keep a clearer mind.
