I’m envious of huge family celebrations! All my relatives are overseas, so birthdays tend to be rather small things for me to celebrate with friends. :)

It’s amazing how people live to be 100, I think. For myself, and my own life, I can’t see myself living to be so old ’cause I’m so careless. :(

I think your family sounds very charming, as strange and creepy as that might sound :P I think small quirks like that are what makes families, or people interesting.

My grandfather likes to get on a chair and sing jewish folk-songs outloud. Note: none of us, including him, are jewish. I have no idea where he gets it from. I don’t think they’re even right, except for the chorus, MAYBE.

My great-grandmother is 97 and will turn 98 this year, and even though she’s in a nursing home, she’s really in great health. I’m very sure she will get to be at least 100.

It’s fun to have an interesting family and we all love our families no matter how strange they can act sometimes. heh.

my great-grandma’s 90 something too… but most of her memories are blurred already :(
